The District Committee of General Purposes is the District’s governing body for all Chapters within the District. It oversees all aspects of governance, as well as sets the timetable for the year’s events, and decides on the District’s social outreach programs.
The Committee comprises of 15 members, who are all subscribing Masons. Of these
All members are committed to work towards the betterment of the District, in line with the District’s Mission, Vision and Values statement.
The Committee holds four regular meetings in a year, one in each quarter. Additional meetings, physical or online, are also held should the need arise.
The Committee formulates administrative policies and procedures, which are aligned with Grand Chapter’s recommendations and directives. These are put to vote for adoption at the District’s Annual Convocation. They include
The Committee members may form subcommittees, each overseeing a particular assignment, and report their progress at the next Committee meeting.
