Square & Boundary Cricket Tournament 2026
The Square & Boundary Cricket Tournament Brings Brethren Together in a Celebration of Fellowship and Sport
The lawns of The Bishop’s Education Society’s Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Kalyani Nagar, Pune came alive with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and spirited competition as the Leslie Wilson Lodge No. 4880 EC successfully conducted the Square & Boundary Cricket Tournament in collaboration with the school community on Saturday, 9th May 2026.
Far more than just a sporting event, the tournament was conceived with a larger purpose — to bring brethren and their families from different lodges together in an atmosphere of fellowship beyond the formal setting of the lodge room. The event succeeded magnificently in doing exactly that, creating a vibrant space where fraternity, sportsmanship, and family bonding flourished side by side.

One of the most engaging and talked-about aspects of the tournament was the uniquely themed team names, each deeply rooted in Masonic symbolism and tradition. The participating teams included:
- Square and Compass
- St Andrews in the East
- All Seeing Eyes
- Emulation (L)
- Apron Avengers
- Emulation (N)
- The Widows Sons
- Royal Connaught
These names sparked curiosity and conversation throughout the day, especially among family members and younger participants, many of whom were eager to learn the meanings and traditions behind the symbolic references. In many ways, the tournament became not only a sporting occasion but also an informal introduction to the rich heritage, values, and symbolism of Freemasonry.
The competition itself was played in excellent spirit across two pools, with every team displaying determination, enthusiasm, and remarkable sportsmanship. Families cheered passionately from the sidelines, creating a festive atmosphere that reflected the true essence of brotherhood and community.
After an exciting series of league matches and knockout fixtures, St Andrews in the East emerged as worthy champions of the tournament, delivering a consistently strong performance throughout the day. The finals were keenly contested and drew tremendous support from spectators.

These moments added greatly to the warmth and inclusiveness of the occasion, reinforcing the family-oriented spirit of the event.
