150th Anniversary Celebration of Cyrus Lodge No. 1359
On the 23rd of September 2022 the brethren of Cyrus Lodge No. 1359 E.C, in the District of Bombay, celebrated its 150th Anniversary. At the start of this momentous year, the brethren of the Lodge elected RW Bro. Percy J Driver as WM of the Lodge. As Master of the Lodge RW Bro. Percy Driver led the brethren in their celebration.
Grand Lodge officers and District Grand Lodge officers were in attendance for this occasion along with eminent dignitaries including the PDGM RW Bro. Dorab Bajan and distinguished visitors from Irish and Scottish constitutions. Over 40 brethren from across the district were present to celebrate with the brethren of Cyrus Lodge.
During the meeting, the brethren of the lodge felicitated two of its senior most brethren, W.Bro Naval Engineer for having completed 60 years in Masonry and W.Bro Vispi Dastur for having completed 50 years in Masonry respectively. W.Bro Naval Engineer at 95 years is also the oldest member of Cyrus Lodge. Citations on scrolls were read out for each of the brethren in open lodge following which the brethren stood and applauded each brother for their long and dedicated service to masonry. Both the distinguished brethren were presented with a memento to commemorate this milestone.

To mark this special occasion, the brethren of the lodge donated a sum of 1 Lakh rupees to the Bombay Masonic Benevolent Fund and The W.M was presented with a Grand Patron Jewel by the President of the Board of Benevolence.
At the festive board the brethren of Cyrus Lodge hosted their distinguished visitors and treated them to a lavish traditional sit-down Parsi meal celebrating the rich history of the lodge, so named after Cyrus The Great, a prolific Persian ruler. The feast was well enjoyed by all brethren and visitors present bringing an end to the festivities, leaving brethren with indelible memories to last them a lifetime.
