Charity Activities undertaken by Bombay Masonic Benevolent Fund

The Bombay Masonic Benevolent Fund under the District of Bombay undertakes various charitable initiatives and projects.

Some of the key charity initiatives undertaken during the last year are listed below –

  • Donation of Rs. 500,000 to the Mumbai Police
  • Donation of 100 PPE kits, masks and other protective gear to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital
  • Donation of Rs. 200,000 to SOFOSH, Pune (Society of Friends of Sassoon Hospital) to purchase PPE kits, masks, disinfectants etc.
  • Donation of Rs. 25,000 each to Parsi Ambulance Division and Ahura Support foundation for differently able children
  • Donation of Rs. 100,000 to “Relief to Poverty”

 

Apart from the direct charities undertaken, the BMBF also supported the charitable activities undertaken by individual Lodges under the District, some of which are listed below –

  • Financial assistance to Brethren for medical reasons
  • Financial assistance to children of Masons
  • Financial assistance to Lodge Haig Brown No. 3829, Goa for purchase and donation of raincoats to Goa Police and the Municipal Corporation of Panjim
  • Financial assistance to Nagpur Lodges to purchase and donate PPE kits to front line warriors in Nagpur
  • Donation of laptop to MAHER, a home for the orphans run by Sister Lucy Kurien at Pune
