In December 1954, at a Special Communication of the DGL, WBro. The Rev. Canon Arnold Bolton was installed as District Grand Master and WBro. Bhogilal C. Shah as Deputy DGM.
The Bardi Lodge of Instruction presented to the DGL, the cupboards and books belonging to it.
Rt. WBro. Sir Leslie Orme Wilson, Past DGM for Bombay died in 1956.
Lodge St. Andrew’s No. 500 Nagpur completed its centenary and a Centenary Warrant was issued to it.
In August 1956, Most Worshipful Bro. Judge Charles W. Froessel, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York paid a visit to Bombay. He was welcomed at a meeting arranged by the DGL and Lodge Truth and presided over by WBro. Bhogilal C. Shah.
In September 1957, Rt. WBro. Canon Bolton reported the discussions he had had with various DGMs on the subject of a sovereign Grand Lodge for India.
The Grand Lodge of England recognized Grand Lodge of West Germany and Grand Lodge of Israel.
Rt. WBro. Canon Bolton bade farewell to the DGL before his departure to England. He declined an offer to have his portrait in oils, instead he agreed to a studio portrait.
